Security in Zamboanga City

-A A +A

Dear Sir/Ma’am:

I am writing to you in relation with the recent security issue the city faces.

These days, when I pass downtown area, I can’t help but be more cautious when crossing streets and sometimes, I imagine unpleasant things can happen with a trash of bag that lie on the side walk thinking it will explode, so much to process for a playful mind.

I do not know what to say anymore. Bombing incidents and all other security issues that lurk around my beloved Zamboanga City and nearby provinces are all familiar to us, yet still scare the hell out of us all.

Angst is what I feel about the recent explosion that killed 2 and injured at least 50 people along the city’s bus terminal in Guiwan. And to add this up, another horrible incident took place in Mamasapano, Maguindanao that left more than 40 of the Police Special Action Force dead on January 25, 2015.

Whatever the motive behind these unlawful activities, people in Mindanao and all those concerned! Come on! It is irritating!

When is enough, enough?

You know what these issues are trashes of the past and still are talks of the present. Even myself, I do not know the solution to this problem. Sometimes, I think, an all-out war against these rebels is the best option but I believe there is nothing good that comes out of it.

Meanwhile, all I can do is let the government do their job. With respect and admiration to the undying support of the PNP and AFP in Mindanao, let us coordinate, report to authorities when we see something suspicious. Vigilance is key to a safe community.

All you sons and daughters of demons, I pray that you will find the right path and surrender in love; this may not happen today or tomorrow but someday you will when all your children wake up in agony.

Thank you Sir/Ma’am for allowing me to express my feelings of displeasure to the current situation in Mindanao. More power to you.
