A BAR’S cashier was killed in a gun attack perpetrated by a motorcycle riding gunman in an east coast village of Zamboanga City, the police reported Tuesday.

Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula Information Officer-in-Charge Inspector Dahlan Samuddin said the incident took place around 1:35 a.m. Tuesday at the intersections of Dr. Estrada and Don Toribio Streets in the village of Tetuan.

Samuddin identified the victim as Richard Lozada, 46, the cashier of El Bonita Bar in the village of Tetuan.

Samuddin said Lozada was rushed to the hospital where he died while undergoing medical treatment.

Investigation showed the victim came from a drinking spree and was heading home onboard his motorcycle when shot by a motorcycle-riding gunman that tailed him, Samuddin said.

Three spent shells of caliber .45 pistol were recovered at the crime scene, he said.

Investigation continues to determine the motive of the incident as well as the identity of the suspect, he added. (Bong Garcia)
