A POLICEMAN was arrested in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police said Tuesday.

Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula Information Officer-in-Charge Inspector Dahlan Samuddin identified the arrested suspect as 32-year-old Julster Templa, a resident of San Pedro, Pagadian City.

Samuddin said Templa is a policeman assigned with the police office in Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.

Samuddin said Templa was arrested around 11:45 a.m. Sunday in a buy-bust operation at the wharf of Pagadian City.

Templa was arrested after he sold two small sachets of suspected shabu to an undercover policeman and the latter's two civilian informants, Samuddin said.

Recovered from the suspects’ possession were three P100 marked money, he said.

The cop is temporarily detained while a case for violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is set to be filed against him, he added.
