DOH acquires protective gears

THE Department of Health (DOH)-Zamboanga Peninsula regional office has acquired 150 pairs of personnel protective equipment (PPE) to ensure the protection of healthcare providers from diseases.

DOH Regional Epidemiology Surveillance Unit (Resu) head Dr. Norvie Jalani said the PPE will be distributed to the medical personnel assigned with the disease surveillance units based in the different parts of the region.

The PPEs comprises of gown, goggles and shoe cover to protect the healthcare providers while treating patients and conducting disease surveillance.


She said the distribution of PPEs is part of the efforts of the agency to ensure that hospitals also have the capability to attend to contagious diseases. (Bong Garcia)
