Dumingag village official, wife killed

A VILLAGE official and his wife were killed while their two children were unharmed in a gun attack in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported Friday.

Zamboanga Peninsula Police Regional Office Information Officer-in-Charge Dahlan Samuddin said the shooting happened around 7 a.m. Thursday at Purok 2 in the village of Dilud, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur.

Samuddin identified the victims as Arlon Luceñara, 46, the village chief of Dilud, and his wife, Mary Jane, 35.


The couple’s children aged nine and three who were with them were unharmed.

Investigation showed that the victims were along the road at Purok 2 in the village of Dilud when the three suspects shot them.

Samuddin said the suspects also stabbed the couple that resulted in their instantaneous death.

One of the three suspects was identified as Tisoy Enlab.

A manhunt is on in a bid to arrest the suspects. (Bong Garcia)
