STUDENTS belonging to the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) have undergone a two-day journalism workshop in Zamboanga City.

National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP)-Zamboanga officer-in-charge Engineer George Jocutan said the workshop aimed to teach the participants on the basics in news writing and other topic related to journalism.

The workshop was held in one of the local hotels with resource speakers from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) from Thursday to Friday.

Jocutan said the activity was also participated by some out-of-school youths.

Jocutan advised the participants to put into good use what they have learned from the workshop.
