AN ELECTRIC shop owner was killed while three others were unscathed in a gun attack in Cawit village, Zamboanga City, the police reported Tuesday.

Zamboanga Peninsula Police Regional Office information officer-in-charge Dahlan Samuddin said the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Samuddin identified the victim as Francisco Molenio Sr., 66, who died while undergoing medical treatment at a hospital.

Investigation showed that the victim, accompanied by his three employees, was driving a multicab vehicle coming from Talisayan after delivering an electric motor when shot by a lone motorcycle-driving gunman that tailed them.

Authorities have recovered two empty shells of caliber .45 pistol from the crime scene.

Investigation continues to establish the motive of the incident and unmask the suspect, the police said. (Bong Garcia)
