THE police have arrested an alleged drug pusher, who is facing charges for the same offense, in a buy-bust operation in Basilan province, the police said Saturday.

Isabela City Police Station commander Superintendent Albert Larubis said the suspect identified as Amin Jalaide, a resident of Zone 1, Kaumpurnah village, Isabela City, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 10:10 p.m. Friday at his residence.

He said recovered from the possession of the suspect were three sachets of suspected shabu, P3,200 cash believed to be proceeds from the prohibited drug trade and prohibited drugs paraphernalia.

Larubis said that a case for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is set to be filed against Jalaide.

The suspect is out on bail for a pending case for violation of section 11 of R.A. 9165 since he was arrested sometime in 2012, Larubis said.
