City gov’t unveils P2.2-M projects

THE City Government of Zamboanga has recently completed a P2.2 million rehabilitation projects at the Sta. Cruz Commercial complex in the city.

Mayor Ma. Isabelle Climaco-Salazar and City Administrator Antonio Orendain Jr. led the inauguration Wednesday of the projects consisting of a mini-terminal and 22 market stalls.

Orendain said the mini-terminal serves as terminal for mini-buses and passenger jeepneys plying the routes to the villages of Curuan, Tolosa and Vitali.


Orendain said that 16 of the 22 stalls will be occupied by the charcoal vendors while the remaining six are for assorted products.

He said the rehabilitation projects are aimed to help boost economic activities at the Sta. Cruz Commercial Complex, which is among the economic enterprise of the City Government.

He said the newly-completed project will also provide more convenient and better spaces for both concessionaires and the buying public. (Bong Garcia)
