2 Zamboanga Sibugay execs robbed

THE police are conducting investigation to unmask the suspects behind the robbery hold-up of two government officials in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Held up and robbed were Cecilia Adlain Reasol, the municipal treasurer of Mabuhay and her disbursing officer Nelia Fernandez.

Initial police report showed that the victims were held up and robbed by two unidentified persons around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sitio Curilao in the village of Kawayan, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay.


The suspects carted away P586,000 including P10,000 personal money of Fernandez and other valuables that include two Automated Teller Machine cards, mobile phone, undetermined amount of commercial checks and personal belongings of Reasol.

However, it was not stated in the police report where the victims came from and where they were heading when held up and robbed. (Bong Garcia)
