German facing charges falls

A GERMAN national was arrested on charges of two counts of grave oral defamation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Thursday.

The Zamboanga del Norte Police Office identified the arrested German national as Norbert Kruger, who is temporarily residing in the village of Anahaw, Dipolog City.

The police said that Kruger, 48, is from Halver, Germany.


The police said Kruger was arrested on the strength of warrant of arrest dated June 10, 2014 issued by a Court in Dipolog City.

The Court has set a recommended bail of P6,000 for each counts, the police said.

Kruger was arrested around 3 p.m. Wednesday in his residence in the village of Anahaw, Dipolog City.

The accused is detained at the police station of Dipolog City, the police said. (Bong Garcia)
