NGCP implements power interruption

THE National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) implemented Tuesday a nine-hour power service interruption in 15 towns and one city served by the Zamboanga del Sur Electric Cooperative-1 (Zamsureco-1).

The Zamsureco-1 serves Pagadian City and 24 of the 26 municipalities of the province of Zamboanga del Sur with 69,857 member-consumers

Zamsureco-1 information officer Liberal Cabatcha said the power service interruption was implemented from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to pave the way for the transmission line corrective maintenance.


Cabatcha said the transmission line corrective maintenance of the low sag conductors were between structures 141-3D and 141A-HS, lamination of center pole of structure 142-3T, total repair of structure 177-E and lift up of structure 13-C in the municipalities of Aurora, Labangan and Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur.

Aside from towns of Aurora, Labangan and Tukuran, Cabatcha said the other towns that were affected by the power service interruption were the following: Dumalinao, Guipos, San Pablo, Tigbao, Lapuyan, Margosatubig, San Miguel, Vincenzo Sagun, Dimataling, Dinas, Pitogo, Tabina, and Pagadian City.

Cabatcha said the power service resumed after the transmission line corrective maintenance was completed. (Bong Garcia)
