THE police have arrested two fugitives who are among the listed top 10 most wanted persons in one of the towns in Zamboanga del Sur, an official said Saturday.

Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula (PRO-9) spokesman Senior Inspector Joseph Ortega identified the suspects as Sammy Aram and Tata Bogot -- both farmers and residents of Dakayakan village, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.

Ortega said Aram and Bogot were arrested in a joint police and military manhunt operation around 2 p.m. Thursday at Sitio Mangeles in the village of Pisompongan, Midsalip.

Ortega said the arrest of the two fugitives came after they were sighted by the members of the “eye in the barangay” team in the village of Pisompongan.

The members of the eye of the barangay are assisting the authorities in law enforcement.

Ortega said Aram and Bogot have standing warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder issued by a Court in the province.

They are listed as among the top 10 most wanted persons in Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur, Ortega said.
