4 injured in bus-van collision-A A +A

FOUR people, including three teenagers, were wounded when an inter-provincial bus bumped a passenger van along the national highway in Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported Friday.
The Zamboanga del Sur Police Office reported that the incident took place around 11:30 a.m. Thursday in the village of Begong, Tigbao municipality.
The police identified the victims as Elmer Sanches, 19; Gemma Abarquez, 17; Reyland Mangubat, 16; and, Elezer Ebarle, 59, who were among the 11 passengers of the van.
They sustained contusions and abrasions and were brought to Jamellarin Hospital for treatment.
Investigation showed the victims were aboard a passenger van with registered plate number LFF-174 driven by Cyrus Acasio bound for Pagadian City from Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur when bumped from behind by the inter-provincial bus with registered plate number JVH-435 driven by Danilo Maghinay, the police said.
The bus, which belongs to the Rural Transit Management Inc., was traveling from Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur, bound for Zamboanga City at the time of the accident.
Both vehicles incurred heavy damaged brought about by the impact of the accident, the police said. (Bong Garcia)
