Bizwoman hurt in Kalawit gun attack

A BUSINESSWOMAN was wounded in a gun attack in a remote village of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Thursday.

The Zamboanga del Norte Police Office (ZDNPO) said the incident happened around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at Purok 6 in the village of Batayan, Kalawit town.

The police identified the victim as Mary Ann Etom, 34, who sustained two gunshot wounds in the chest and was hospitalized.


The police said the victim was tending her store when the attackers aboard on two motorcycles arrived and shot her.

The police added that they will continue to probe on the incident. (Bong Garcia)
