THE police have arrested three people in its continued campaign against prohibited drugs in Zamboanga City, officials said.

The police identified those arrested as Fhahad Inding, 35, Richard Tubil, 43, both of Tumaga village, and Ayatullah Amillasan, 33 of Recodo village.

Inding and Tubil were arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation around 5:30 p.m. Monday in the village of Tumaga.

City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force chief Inspector Crisanto Yabo Jr. said the two suspects were arrested after they allegedly sold a suspected shabu to an undercover policeman.

Confiscated and recovered from their possession were six heat-sealed plastic sachets of white crystalline substance of suspected shabu and three pieces of P100 “marked money” that were used in the buy-bust operation.

Amillasan was arrested around 10:30 p.m. Sunday by policemen under the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company while conducting mobile checkpoint in the village of Recodo.

ZCPSC commander Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca said Amillasan was caught in possession of two small sachets of suspected shabu. (Bong Garcia)
