Village chief killed, 4 hurt in road accident-A A +A

A VILLAGE official died while four others were wounded in a collision of two motorcycles in a remote village of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Tuesday.
The incident took place Sunday afternoon in the village of Lipacan, Malangas municipality, the Zamboanga Sibugay Police Office reported.
The police identified the fatality as Hermogenes Boleros, 56, the village chief of Payag, Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Wounded were Ernesto Lahoy-Lahoy, 39; Samuel Boleros, 58; Reynaldo Tenajora, and Ahkmad Saiking, 36.
Investigation showed that Tenajora was driving a “habal-habal” or motorcycle taxi with Lahoy-Lahoy and the Boleros as his passengers. They were en route from Poblacion village to the village of Payag when bumped by a motorcycle driven by Saiking traveling from the opposite direction.
Heremogenes was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician, while his two companions and the two drivers were admitted at a hospital for treatment, the police said.
