The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) is set to implement the Revenue Memorandum Circular 7-2014 here in the region, a BIR official announced.

BIR Regional Director Alert Alocilja said the Circular, issued by BIR Commissioner Kim Jacinto-Henares dated February 5, 2014, requires the marginalize income earners to pay taxes and issue Ors.

The marginalize income earners included owners of sari-sari stores, eateries, farmers, fishermen and owners of single unit tricycles to register.

Alocilja said they will implement the order here in the region ones they will receive a copy of the memorandum circular.

Alocilja said they will conduct information and education campaign to educate the income earners about the implementation of the memorandum circular.

Alocilja said the campaign is important since the income earners are not used to register with the BIR and to issue official receipts.
