TWO people including a policeman were killed in a gun attack in a west coast village in Zamboanga City, the police said Sunday.

Zamboanga City police office-in-charge Senior Superintendent Angelito Casimiro said the incident took place around 7:40 p.m. Saturday in the village of San Jose Gusu.

Casimiro identified the fatalities as Police Office 1 (PO1) Marcel Tuballa of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company, and Richard Buenaventura, a civilian.

Casimiro said the victims were rushed to the Zamboanga Brent Hospital but were declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Investigation continues to unmask the suspects behind the incident, Casimiro said. (Bong Garcia)
