Zamboanga Golf and Country Club beach up for rehab

THE National Government through the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (Tieza) has appropriated P30 million funds to rehabilitate the facilities at Zamboanga Golf Course and Country Club’s (ZGCCC) beach in Zamboanga City.

Tieza-Zamboanga Officer-in-Charge Carmela Marquez said that among the facilities to be rehabilitated include the roads, cottages, comfort rooms, and other facilities.

Marquez said that they are just waiting for the release of the funds to rehabilitate the beach of the Zamboanga Golf Course and Country Club.


Marquez said the earliest they could start the rehabilitation works is by October 2014.

She said the rehabilitation works would last up to three years citing it will be undertaken by phases.

She added that there is really a need to rehabilitate the beach for the convenience of the public.

The beach of the Zamboanga Golf Course and Country Club located in the village of Upper Calarian is one of the favorite picnic places for both locals and visitors in this city. (Bong Garcia)
