SIX gunmen have abducted a son of a businessman in the municipality of Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported.

Abducted was Michael Co, 27, of Barangay Poblacion, Siocon town, according to Zamboanga del Norte Police Director James Mejia.

Co is the son of Allan, a businessman who owns and manages a gasoline station located in the village of Poblacion, Siocon.

Mejia said that Michael was at the family-owned gasoline station when four of the six gunmen barged in and seized the victim.

The kidnappers also carted away an undetermined amount of cash from the gasoline station.

Mejia said the abductors forced the victim to board on a Sportage car, which the suspects abandoned in the village of Latabon, Siocon.

Authorities were deployed to track down the victim’s whereabouts.
