PRESIDENT Benigno Aquino III has conferred the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) to the Ciudad Medical Zamboanga (CMZ), one of the local private hospitals, for performance excellence.

The CMZ received a trophy from President Benigno Aquino III in an awarding ceremony held last week in Malacañang.

CMZ Chief Executive Officer Attorney Jhihann Natividad said the conferment of the award has made the CMZ the only PQA awardee in the hospital industry in the entire country.

Natividad said the PQA is the highest national award being given to organizations that pursue performance excellence in their service.

The performance excellence includes the organizational leadership, strategic planning, customer service, holistic workforce process, and adherence to the regulations of the country. (Bong Garcia)
