THE local government is set to implement soon at least P69.6 million worth of infrastructure projects in Zamboanga City.

City Assessor's Officer Erwin Bernardo, who chairs of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), said they already bidded out a total 49 infrastructure projects worth P69,656,860 since in January 2014.

Bernardo said infrastructure projects include school buildings, drainage systems, farm-to-market roads and others.

Bernardo said they are now conducting evaluation and post qualification review to determine who are among the contractors that won in the biddings of the projects.

Among the things they are evaluating is whether the winning bidders are of good standing to ensure the project will be completed on time, Bernardo said.

The process is in compliance with Procurement Act 9184, otherwise known as the Government Procurement Reform Act, he said.
