AN EXPLOSION rocked an east coast village of Zamboanga City late Sunday, said the police.

The incident took place around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at Logoy Diutay in Barangay Talon-Talon, five kilometers east of the city, said Police Station 6 commander Chief Inspector Felixberto Martinez.

He said though that no one among the occupants of the house damaged by the blast was hurt.

Jul Asiri Lacbao, 63, owner of the house, said no one was outside when an unidentified person tossed a grenade into his compound.

He said he was puzzled as to who could be behind the incident, citing they have no known enemies and had not received any threat.

Martinez said investigation continues to determine the motive and identify the perpetrators.
