GUNMEN riding tandem on a motorcycle shot and killed a warehouse clerk of a petroleum firm in a west coast village of Zamboanga City, the police said Monday.

Police Station 11 chief Diomarie Albarico identified the fatality as Joey Malaki, a warehouse clerk of the Petron depot in Barangay Lower Calarian, who was shot around 8:25 a.m. Monday at Suterville in the same village.

Initial investigation showed that Malaki was driving his mountain bike on the way to work when fatally shot by one of two men riding tandem in a motorcycle.

The victim was hit in the head and died on the spot. The gunmen fled to an unknown direction, said Albarico.

The police have been looking into all possible motives in the incident, he added. (Bong Garcia)
