SOME P400,000 worth of properties went up in smoke when a warehouse was intentionally burned in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, the police said.

Zamboanga del Norte police director James Mejia said the fire broke out around 9 p.m. Thursday at Sitio Lungkanob in the village of Gulayon, Dipolog City.

Before the incident, Senior Superintendent Mejia said the warehouse was allegedly stoned by Ricky Realiza, Carlo Realiza, Sonny Boy Eyo, Jordan Christian and a certain Nelson forcing the caretakers, Fablo Baganotan and his wife, Elfa, to leave the place.

The suspects even threatened to burn the warehouse for unknown reason, Mejia said.
The warehouse was owned by George Realiza, 63, a resident of 290, Malvar Street, Dipolog City.

The Dipolog city police are conducting thorough investigation in preparation for filing of appropriate charges against the suspects.

The motive of the incident was believed to be personal grudge, Mejia added. (Bong Garcia)
