Police file raps vs 2 suspected drug pushers

THE police have filed charges before the City Prosecutor’s Office against two suspected drug pushers arrested on separate buy-bust operations in Zamboanga City, the police reported Wednesday.

Charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were Musahil Sumagpe, 30, and Magandi Sabturani, 44, according to Police Station 6 chief Felixberto Martinez.

Sumagpe was arrested in a buy-bust operation last Saturday at Sitio Kapuk in the village of Mampang.


Martinez said confiscated from Sumagpe’s possession were 0.83 grams of shabu (crystal meth).

Sabturani was arrested on February 6 in a buy-bust operation at Logoy Grande in the village of Talon-Talon.

Police confiscated from the possession of Sabturani 0.124 grams of shabu based on the laboratory analysis conducted by the Crime Laboratory Office.

He said that Sabturani was charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165.

The suspects are detained at the headquarters of Police Station 6, according to Martinez.
