A MAN was injured when a twister hit a dried fish barn in an east coast village of Zamboanga City, the police reported Tuesday.

Police Station 6 chief Felixberto Martinez reported that the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday at Sitio Barigon in the village of Tugbungan.

Martinez added that the twister has destroyed a house and a dried warehouse made of light materials owned by Pilar Toreja.

The victim was identified as Kimbok Lindagan, 52, a dried fish worker, who was injured in the head due to falling debris.

Antonio Lagotap, 47, said they all thought it was about to rain upon hearing a roaring sound but they were surprised to see that it was a twister.
