Gunmen rob trader

GUNMEN held up and robbed a trader in the hinterlands of the nearby Zamboanga Sibugay province, the police said Sunday.

The Zamboanga Sibugay Police Office reported that the incident took place around 9:20 a.m. Saturday in the village of Bacalan, Ipil, the province’ capital.

The police identified the victim as Arvin Jumalon, who is into bread and pastries trading.


Investigation showed the victim was driving his motorcycle on the way home when waylaid, held-up and robbed by three gunmen, the police said.

The suspects took from the victim P6,000 cash he was bringing at the time of the incident and fled, the police added.

Investigation continues to unmask and arrest the suspects.
