THE police have filed criminal charges against two suspected killers in the death of their employer at the waterfront public market in Zamboanga City.

Charged from murder were Jonathan Maquiling and his brother, Michael, who are reportedly from Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur.

The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) said the two brothers allegedly killed their employer, Mary Ann Maceda Ramos, last January 4.

Investigation showed that one of the suspects grabbed the victim while the other slashed Ramos’ throat when they arrived at Stall No. 7 at Row-A of the waterfront public market to open for the day’s business.

The police, during the ocular investigation, noted that the victim’s mobile phone and wallet containing cash were missing.

The suspects remain at large as they went into hiding after the incident, the police said.
