Gunmen rob marine product buying station

A BUSINESSMAN lost close to P20,000 in a robbery in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police said.

Held up and robbed was Jasper Osias, 30, who owns and manages a buying station of crabs and other marine products along the Highway of Sanito village, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The police said Osias and his wife have just arrived at the buying station around 9:30 a.m. Saturday when three unidentified gunmen arrived and declared the heist.


One of the gunmen forcibly opened the cash drawer and took some P14,000 cash and mobile phones, the police said.

A thorough investigation is underway to unmask and arrest the suspects, the police said. (Bong Garcia)
