A TOP official of the Zamboanga City Special Economic Zone Authority and Freeport (Zamboecozone) is optimistic that the export earnings of the Zamboecozone this year will be higher compared to that in 2013.

Zamboecozone Chairman and Administrator Christopher Lawrence Arnuco issued the statement after the export earnings of Zamboecozone have reached $922,023.10 since January this year.

Arnuco noted the earning in exports, although the first quarter is not yet over, have already reached 25 percent of the P3 million export earnings in 2013.

Arnuco said he expect that their export earnings for this year will reach close to $5 million if the export trend continues.

The good earning in export is the result of their efforts by looking into the needs of the Zamboecozone locators as well as to how to serve them better, said Arnuco.

The Zamboecozone has 15 locators that export wigs, cattle fish, marine products, and others to the United States, Puerto Rico, and Thailand.
