DTI-ZCO handles BNR, repair shop accreditation

APPLICANTS for business name registration (BNR) and repair shop accreditation are advised to processed their papers with the Department of Trade and Industry-Zamboanga City Office (DTI-ZCO) located at the second floor of VHW Building at Veterans Avenue.

DTI Regional Officer-in-Charge Sitti Amina Jain issued this advice as they have transferred the National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center (Nerbac) office from the third floor of VHW Building had been transferred to the DTI regional office along Gov. Ramos Avenue in Sta. Maria village effective January 1, this year.

Likewise, Jain said they are informing the BNR and repair shop accreditation applicants from Isabela City, Basilan to either file their applications at the DTI-ZCO from Monday to Friday or at its Satellite Office at the city hall complex of Isabela City every Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


However, Jain that the second option will be available only every January which is considered peak season for the renewal of business licenses.

She said that all BNR applications from Isabela City will be processed at the DTI-ZCO starting next month.

Otherwise the applicants could leave their application papers at the Isabela City Satellite Office where a contracted staff is assigned to receive and send the applications by courier to DTI-ZCO weekly and then release the processed BNR to the applicants the following week, she added.

The BNR, barring hitches in its internet connection, normally takes only 15 minutes or less to process, she said.
