BAUANG, La Union -- An American national charged with two counts of first degree rape in the United States was arrested Saturday at his residence in Barangay Pagdalagan Sur here.

Police operatives, together with Bureau of Immigration agents, arrested Philip Vaughl Cox, 53, said Chief Inspector George Depalog, the town’s police chief.

It was learned that Cox is being hunted by US authorities for more than a year now for rape. He is living here with a Filipina partner.

Depalog said Cox was already brought to Metro Manila by the immigration personnel for the processing of his deportation to the US. (PNA)
