Mareb to stage fun run for water shed project

CLARK FREEPORT -- The Metro Angeles Real Estate Board Inc. (Mareb) is going to stage a fun-run.

The sports event, dubbed Mareb Run 2, will be held in this Freeport's Parade Ground at 5:30 a.m. on November 30 (Sunday).

Mareb president Louie Reyes, a former councilor of Angeles City, said they are targeting 500 runners during the event.


Registration for the 21-kilometer category is P00; 10-kilometer, P00; 5-kilometer, P400; and 2.5-kilometer, P300, according to Reyes.

Reyes, who also heads the environmentalist group Green Youth Brigade, disclosed that they are supporting government programs to save watershed areas in the Clark area.

“This is our fund-raising event and portion of the proceeds will go to the Sapang Bato Water Shed,” Reyes said.

“We in the Mareb want to make our share to preserving our environment and mother nature,” he added.

The designated registration centers are New Balance Store, Second Floor in Marquee Mall, and the Mareb Office at 112-A Galang Wong Building, Balibago, Angeles City.
