-A A +A

"EACH day, let us try to be a blessing to the people. Let's continue to work, serve and ensure the well-being of our kabalens.”

Enlightening words of Mayor Ed Pamintuan of Angeles City stir Angelenas/Angelenos to step forward with optimism in their hearts, minds and spirits.

Booming forth with abundance, Angeles City celebrates the heroic month of August with bravado and nobility.

Experiencing the excellent administration of Mayor Ed, truly, propels his team, barangay leaders and constituents to fly high to the mountain top of achievement.

Kudos to our leaders in Angeles City who blend inspiring words with action. Reaching out to the needy and impoverished citizens, our distinguished stewards are similar to the August cool rains pouring in our minds and hearts.

City Award

The local government under the leadership of Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan, has been cited as the 3rd best in government efficiency during the recently concluded National Competitiveness Council Summit.

The said summit was jointly sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), National Competitiveness Council (NCC) and Department of Tourism and Industry (DTI).

Pamintuan, together with City Treasurer Juliet Quinsaat, received the award in behalf of the city.

Mayor EdPam said:

“This is a manifestation of the hard work that our administration has been able to do in the past years.

This is another proof that our no-nonsense attitude in the delivery of efficient and effective government services is being recognized nationwide and around the world. We have placed Angeles City back on the map of worldwide and multi-awarded league of cities after more than a decade of stagnation.

Luid ya ing Angeles!”

We appreciate Mayor EdPam and his persevering team for their dynamic leadership. Mayor Pamintuan was recently hailed as one of the Most Outstanding Mayors in the Philippines by Superbrands Marketing Inc., and was hailed as the Top 8 World Mayor by the World Mayor Foundation in London last 2012.

Ultimately, benevolent leadership means practicing the values of commitment, cooperation and compassion.

Speaking of compassion, this is the same spirit that Mother Teresa of India spread to the four corners of the globe. Embracing the sick, poor and dying persons in the dusty streets of Calcutta, she gave the world her heart of golden service. Furthermore, her timeless sayings inspire each one of us. She shared this wise insight:

“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”

Truly, speaking kind words to our family, friends and familiar community members awaken their joie e vivre/joy of living. Positive words can influence our brothers and speakers to move with good will, graciousness and gentleness.

To all our dear readers, may the rains of abundant blessings flow out to your hearth, home and honorable abode.
