“EACH day, let us try to be a blessing to the people. Let's continue to work, serve and ensure the well-being of our kabalens.”

These words of Mayor Ed Pamintuan of Angeles City inspires Angelenas/Angelenos to move forward with optimism in their hearts, minds and spirits.

Booming forth with abundance, Angeles City celebrates the month of May with gaiety and merriment.

Experiencing the excellent administration of Mayor Ed, truly, propels his team, barangay leaders and constituents to fly high to the mountain top of achievement.

Happy Angelenas/Angelenos are one in expressing their words of appreciation .

Anna David (16-year-old) says, “I had no chance to study further because my Ima is a labandera (washerwoman) and a widow. Thankfully, the establishment of the City College of Angeles lifted my morale and self-confidence.

I will not walk and roam the city with an aimless disposition. I will not work in the dark alleys and black nights.

I will study hard. I will expand my knowledge and working skills. I value my dignity. I will help my family to change our economic status.

This I promise to Ima and to our Lord.

“Salamat pu Mayor Pamintuan.”

John Galang (18-year-old), a laborer, said:

“Mayor Pamintuan is the compassionate mayor of my city. He is the only one who made my wish to enroll in college to be realized. My dream and the vision of the hundreds of poor, young, talented, brave and intelligent Angeleños who want to receive a college diploma will finally come true.”

Several testimonies from the website also came from our Kabalens abroad. Jane Lopez White said:

“Mayor Ed Pam makes true his promises. Since his comeback as a mayor in 2010, he signed a covenant to put Angeles back in the international map through economic, political will, education prowess and ecology nurturance.

Imagine, this is the first time I heard of an Angeles Heritage Zone. No more ugly spaghetti lines dotting our city. No more unclean public passageways.

Yes! Bravo to our worthy heritage district and to green kuliat-vined sidewalks.

Masaya kupu para kareng Kabalens ku.”

In sum, we take our hats off to the good Mayor, his hardworking team and his endearing leaders.

Likewise, what a beautiful May to behold since it spreads the yellow and orange colors to usher in summer changes.

I am a proud daughter of Angeles City!
