TWIST - In the Hollywood movie, Leaving Las Vegas, the caption was: ' Nobody stays on top forever'. Aptly it can describe many situations. Adolf Hitler planned the rise of the third reich, and wanted to produce the aryan race, but only to poison himself when Russian troops were closing in his underground bunker in Berlin.

Ferdinand Marcos came up with his New Society, proclaimed martial law, curtailed his countrymen of their individual freedom, but only to die in exile in Hawai. Bung Sukarno founded Indonesia and proclaimed himself president for life only to be toppled by one of his favorite military generals,Suharto.

History is replete with such situations. It happened in the past. It is happenning now and it will still happen in the future, because people never learn and ignore lessons of history.

ENRILE AND GIGI- It will not be like a fairy book tale, when man and a woman fell in love anf they lived happily ever after. Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile's life story is so checkered that if made into a movie will surely be a boxoffice hit.

Born out of wedlock, it was his mother, Petra Furuganan, a fish vendor from Aparri,Cagayan, who raised him and only met the father when he was already in his twenties. He was sent to a law school, became a known lawyer, served in various capacities during the martial law years. Survived Marcos, served Cory Aquino and got elected senator. He was admired as the presiding senator-judge in the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona. Now he faces the possibility of a jail sentence, if ever his chief of staff and known to be his girl friend, Gigi Reyes will spill the beans.

BONG AND JINGGOY- 'Mga anak ng diyos'. Ramon Revilla Sr. stayed in Angeles City for sometime, operated a bar called The Sands in the Balibago area. Larer he joined the Bureau of Customs police and with borrowed money, produced Nardong Putik, a film bio of a Cavite bandit. It made millions in the box office and ressurected the old man Revilla's fledgling movie career. He became a senator. Later his junior, Bong Revilla flourished in his movie career and even topped a senatorial race.

Jinggoy is attempting to follow his father's footsteps, former President now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada. He was undefeated mayor of San Juan city, got elected senator and plan to run for vice president in 2016.

Jinggoy is quite admired by some Kapampangans, since he is married to Precy Vitug,a pretty lass from Betis, Guagua. Both Bong and Jinggoy were born to famous parents. Both are handsome. Both are screen idols. And both face possible jail sentence over the pork barrel scam. Really,'no one stays on top forever'.

ZSA ZSA AND BOOTS- It is another situation for two beautiful women of our time. Yesterday' news on metropolitan papers disclosed already that Sharon Cuneta played cupid to her cumareng Zsa Zsa Padilla, the widow of comedian Dolphy. She was introduced to an architect friend of the megastar, Conrad Onglao. After one and half month of courtship the two are now an item. Many thinks Zsa Zsa deserves to be happy. She was so dedicated to Dolphy, never left his bedside and mourned his death for almost two years. She has to move on.

Boots Anson Roa was the devoted widow of TV producer Pete Roa. She is one year shy of being a septuagenerian, when love beckons. She found an ideal partner, lawyer King Rodrigo, son of the late Senator Soc Rodrigo. The widow and the widower are both giving love a second chance, and they deserve to be happy.

Yesterday was Easter Sunday. The message it brings maybe a lesson to each and everyone. If you are bad, do bad to fellowmen, do bad to your country, there will be corresponding punishment. Janet Napoles, Enrile, Estrada, Revilla, Ruby Tuazon, and the hundred lawmakers and government officials who snatched food from the poor Filipinos should pray more.

If you do good, the Lord will save you from your grief, just what He did for Zsa and Boots.
