Pedicab driver shot dead in Mexico

MEXICO, Pampanga -- A pedicab driver was shot dead by a still unidentified riding-in-tandem at Sitio Centro, Barangay Lagundi, police said on August 28.

The victim was identified as 33-year-old Gerald Simbillo, a resident of Barangay San Jose Matulid, Mexico, Pampanga.

Based on the investigation of Mexico police, the victim was waiting for a passenger when two motorcycle-riding gunmen shot him.


Simbillo received gunshots on his head and chest which eventually led to his death.

The police recovered eight slabs of a 45-caliber handgun, a deformed bullet, and ammo.

The police are still investigating the incident while the Dimbillo family refused to give a statement regarding the victim’s death.
