CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Third District Representative Oscar Rodriguez congratulated Mayor Edwin Santiago on his first year in office hoping that that more will happen in the next two years but was quick note that an invitation in planning moves for the city would be appreciated.
It could be remembered that Santiago delivered his "Ulat Sa Bayan" early this month highlighting the plans and initial achievements of his administration. Rodriguez said that he has yet to fully read Santiago’s speech but wished the latter good luck in the remainder of his term.
Rodriguez, however, refused to comment on the details on Santiago’s programs saying that he has not been present of late on meetings regarding plans for the city.
“In my mind there is nothing wrong with the fundamentals of our programs. If they continued the programs or not I do not know because I am not invited to their meetings. If they continued them, well and good,” Rodriguez said, stressing that he would love to help on planning and sourcing for additional funds for programs of the city.
Asked about why there was too little mention of him in Santiago’s speech, Rodriguez said: “No comment.”
