Robbery suspect arrested for illegal possession of firearms-A A +A

FLORIDABLANCA -- A laborer was arrested recently by police for his alleged involvement in a Tire Factory robbery and possession of an unregistered shotgun and suspected shabu paraphernalia in Pandaguirig Resettlement in this town.
Police Superintendent Jhoanna Rosales, Floridablanca police chief, identified the suspect as Angelito Manabat, 36, a laborer from Block 19, Lot 8, Pandaguirig Resettlement here.
Rosales said that combined elements of the Floridablanca police and 1st Maneuver Company, RPSB3 arrested the suspect by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Jonel Mercado of the regional Trial Court Branch 52 of Guagua.
She said that Manabat is one of the suspects in the robbery case that transpired on September 24, 2013 at the Tire Factory in Barangay Pabanlag in this municipality.
Rosales said that a case of illegal possession of firearms and violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 was filed against Manabat.
Seized from the suspect's house were one 12 gauge shotgun with five ammunition, one wrap aluminum foil, one empty pack filled with used aluminum foil, one tooter, 25 empty sachets suspected to contain shabu residue, six lighters with detached heads, two crumpled aluminum foil suspected to contain shabu residue, and one sachet containing suspected shabu.
The suspect is now under the custody of the local PNP while awaiting trial.
