CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- Two Korean nationals were arrested by operatives of the Regional Intelligence Division for illegal gambling operations during a raid at Room 102, Building B, Clarkhills Village, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, recently.

Chief Inspector Melvin Montante, head of the Regional Intelligence Division, identified those arrested as Dongjoon Yoon, 37, and Jawnwoo Bae, 35, both operators of on-line gaming.

Montante said the raiding team was armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Norman Pamintuan of Regional Trail Court branch 73, Olongapo City for violation of PD 1603 or illegal gambling in relation to RA-8484 (Access Devices Regulation Act).

The search warrant was issued against Choi Ki Pyo, he said. However, Choi Ki Pyo was not around when the raiding team arrived at the area.

Confiscated from them were two desktop computers, one UPS, two cellphones, three speakers, a webcam, computer microphone, modem, two routers, computer headphones, three internet phones, a cable modem, external drive, a laptop and assorted computer cables.

Montante said the search was done in an orderly manner and witnessed by village security guard Jhon Tapulayan and Clark Development Corporation Police Investigator Ronino Tom.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were taken to the Regional Intelligence Division for documentation and proper disposition.

Montante said that charges of illegal gambling were filed in court against those arrested.
