MAGALANG -- Pampanga first district Representative Joseller Guiao has vowed to provide quality service to his constituents even without the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).

During his Barangay Day at the town, Guiao said his office became resourceful after the abolition of PDAF or pork barrel due to reports on alleged misuse and its unconstitutionality.

He said they are continuously providing health care, livelihood, scholarship, and other services to residents in the province's first congressional district, which covers Angeles City, Mabalacat City and this first-class agricultural town.

A congressman gets an average of P60 million to 80 million per year under the PDAF, according to Guiao.

"Pwedi tana man pung mag-serbisyu anggiang alang PDAF keng saup da reng private firms a susuporta kekatamu," Guiao said.

Guiao asked his townmates, with health problems, to visit his district office at Diamond Subdivision in Angeles City and seek assistance.

"Saupan da kayu pu. Retang ala pang PhilHealth cards, padinan da kayu pu," he said.

He said government hospitals in the province, under the direction of Governor Lilia Pineda, provide assistance to indigent patients.

The lawmaker also vowed to establish a district extension office in this town for efficient delivery of services to his constituents.

"Patye pu apagawa taya ing office tamu keti, ena kayu lumaut pa para manyad saup. Nung sinambut ya mu sana ing Rain or Shine keng basketball tournament, pwedi kuna lang gamitan reng bonus ku para patalakad ing office tamu keni," he said.

Guiao also thanked Mayor Romulo Pecson and other town officials, Smart Communications, Sun Cellular, Rain or Shine, and other sponsors for supporting his Barangay Day.

Meanwhile, Provincial Environment Officer Arturo Punsalan urged residents to observe environment laws, particularly Republic Act 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act.

He also asked the people to maintain cleanliness and segregate waste to prevent illnesses. "Kauran na pu anya dapat pane tamung maglinis. I segregate tamu pu ing kekatamung basura, itang nabubulok ketang hindi-nabubulok banta aiwasan tamu ing dengue ampo miyayaliwa pang sakit," he said.
