Police nab suspects for illegal drugs, theft

STO. TOMAS -- Police operatives here arrested a woman suspect for alleged possession of illegal drugs and another suspect for theft in operations conducted Saturday.

Sto. Tomas police chief John Clark told Sun.Star Pampanga that they have arrested suspect Wendy Cayabyab, 23, of Tarlac City in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Moras dela Paz here.

Police reports said that the suspect handed to one police poseur buyer one heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu. The suspect is now in the custody of the town police.


Clark added that they have also arrested Romy Nucup, 61, by virtue of an arrest warrant for two counts of qualified theft. Judge Edgar Chua of the Regional Trial Court branch 43 issued the warrant.

Nucup is ranked 13th in the list of Most Wanted Persons in the municipality.

Clark said that they will be conducting more anti-drug operations in the town. He added that he has instructed personnel here to conduct more surveillance and information gathering on the operation of drug pushers in the town.
