CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- Two armed men riding-in-tandem on board a motorcycle were gunned down in a brief encounter with policemen along the road of Barangay Sucol, Calumpit, Bulacan, on Wednesday.

Chief Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, Police Regional Office-3 (PRO3) director, said the slain suspects were not immediately identified because they have no identification cards found on them.

Petrasanta said prior to the incident, the suspects held-up Lea Pati, a resident of Barangay Pungo, Calumpit town.

The incident was reported immediately to police authorities and a hot pursuit operation was launched, he said.

Responding policemen on board a patrol car spotted the suspects in Barangay Sucol, Calumpit and a brief firefight ensued.

Police recovered from the crime scene two caliber .38 revolvers with bullets, two spent shells from a caliber .38 and a red Suzuki motorcycle without plate number.

The report said the victim (Pati) possibly identified the slain suspects as the ones who robbed her.
