CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) Central Luzon Office on Friday said that over 7,700 career opportunities will be up for grabs during the Kalayaan 2014 job fairs in Central Luzon on June 12, which coincides with the 116th Philippine Independence Day celebration.

"From the figure, around 3,100 are for local employment while the rest are for overseas. About 101 employers have confirmed their participation including 25 licensed recruitment agencies," Dole Director Ana Dione said.

Themed "Pagsunod sa Yapak ng mga Dakilang Pilipino, Tungo sa Malawakan at Permanenteng Pagbabago," it will be held simultaneously at the Provincial Capitol gym in Malolos City, Bulacan; Rizal Triangle Multipurpose Court in Olongapo City; and municipal covered court in Castillejos, Zambales.

A similar activity is scheduled on June 13 at the municipal gym in Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija; June 20 at Waltermart, City of San Fernando, Pampanga; and June 27 at the municipal covered court in Paniqui, Tarlac.

Jobs slots are for engineers, accountants, account executives, sales managers, office managers, human resource practitioners, customer service representatives, office clerks, administrative assistants, receptionists, call center agents, production workers, carpenters, automotive, plumbers, welders, technicians, machine operators, cooks, and waiters.

Various agencies including the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Social Security System (SSS), Department of Foreign Affairs, and Philippine Statistics Authority will be on hand during the job fairs to assist applicants on their documentary requirements.

“To our jobseekers, seize the opportunity. Please do come in proper attire and bring your necessary pre-employment requirements such as multiple copies of your resume and other important documents like photos, transcript of records, NBI clearance, SSS and PhilHealth memberships in order for you to have an easier way of applying during your job hunting at our fairs,” concluded Dione.
