Fernandinos welcome new ‘Mutya’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Hundreds of Fernandinos welcomed the new Mutya ning San Fernando during the pageant coronation night Thursday at the Event Center of SM City Pampanga.

Mayor Edwin Santiago led officials of the City of San Fernando and the 2014 Fiesta Executive Committee headed by Felix Paras in crowning Patricia Lois Talusig from Barangay San Jose.

Talusig stood out from the other 10 candidates as she bagged the Miss Photogenic, Miss Classy 8, Darling of the Press, Best in Casual Wear, Best in Long Gown, Miss Pampanga’s Best Delight Body and Best Designer in Long Gown.


The new Fernandino queen's court is composed of Tiffany Garcia (Ms. Professional and Ms. Classy 8), first runner up; Blessie Ann Franche (Best Production Costume), second runner-up; Carmelisa Tolentino, third runner–up; and Sharmaine Paras (Copy Cat's People's Choice, Mutya ning LBC, Best in Filipiniana Terno, Texter's Choice Award and Ms. Eurotel), fourth runner-up.

Talusig said she hopes that she could be an effective ambassador of goodwill with an advocacy of education for every Fernandino.

The other Mutya candidates were candidates were Carla Mae Elpedang, Vina Valencia, Shane Quirimit, Carmelisa Tolentino (Ms. Telegenic, Ms. Burger King and Best in Talent), Arah Salientes (Ms. Laybare, Ms. Franda Bowling Center and Mutya ning Kalikasan), Mary Rose Antonio (Best in Swimwear), and Jerica Anne Goingco (Ms. Congeniality).

Talusig will vie for the Mutya ning Kapampangan later this year. (Marionne I. Cayanan)
