CAMP OLIVAS -- Police again showed their seriousness to eradicate the illegal drug trade in Pampanga after another two drug personalities were arrested during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mangga, Candaba town, recently.

Senior Superintendent Marlon Madrid, officer-in-charge of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office, said Candaba police successfully arrested Crispin dela Cruz Barrera alias Jun Barrera, 40, a resident of Barangay Talang and Virgilio Francisco, 44, of Barangay Mangga, both in Candaba.

Madrid said that Barrea is included in the drug watch list in Candaba town.

Confiscated from their possession were one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, several drug paraphernalia and a P500 marked money used in the buy-bust operation.

The suspects are now temporarily detained at the Candaba Police Station as cases of illegal possession of prohibited drugs were filed in court against them.

In a separate operation, two suspected drug pushers were arrested in Barangay San Jose, City of San Fernando.

Superintendent Edilberto Pitallano, city chief of police, identified the arrested as Remigio Guevarra, 42, alias Ka “Pansit” and Jonar Pinlac, 20, as Ka “Chiki,” both residents of the said barangay.

Pitallano said that intelligence operatives conducted a buy-bust operation at said area and arrested the two after a poseur buyer received a heat-sealed sachet with suspected shabu.

Confiscated from them were eight pieces of heat-sealed plastic containing suspected shabu and a marked P500 bill.
