CAMP OLIVAS -- The Pampanga Provincial Police Office has a new officer-in-charge in the person of Senior Superintendent Marlon Madrid.
Madrid, a member of Philippine Military Academy Class '90 Bigkis Lahi, replaced incumbent Officer-In-Charge Senior Superintendent Manuel Gaerlan, concurrent Deputy Regional Director for Operations, who assumed the post for only a week after Senior Superintendent Oscar Albayalde, Pampanga police acting provincial director was relieved.
Madrid was a former chief of the Regional Comptroller Division of Police Regional Office Cordillera, Gaerlan said.
He said that it is Madrid’s first time to be assigned in Central Luzon and he is not yet familiar with the region and Pampanga as well.
"It is a challenge for Madrid to do his best in Pampanga Police," Gaerlan said.
He said Madrid will be assigned as OIC until the Placement Senior Officer Board will submit the list of three senior police officers to Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda.
Pineda will choose from the three senior police officers, Gaerlan said.
The simple turn-over and change of command ceremony was officiated by Chief Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, Police Regional Office-3 director, and was witnessed by other officers. (Ric Sapnu)
