3 suspected car thieves nabbed in Apalit

CAMP OLIVAS -- Three alleged members of a carnapping group were arrested in an operation by operatives of Regional Public Safety and Battalion (RPSB3) at Barangay Capalangan in Apalit town over the weekend.

RPSB commander Superintendent Sidney Villaflor identified the suspects as Edwin Cruz and Ryan Nuque, both from Bulacan province, along with Jay-Ar Waje, a resident of Barangay Capalangan, Apalit.

Villaflor said that Cruz and Waje were nabbed immediately after selling to a police operative, who acted as poseur buyer, a vehicle worth P100,000. The transaction took place at in Barangay Capalanganon.


Nuque was arrested in a follow-up operation in his residence, he added.

Recovered from the arrested suspects was a Mitsubishi Adventure with plate number WKI-821.

Villaflor said the Regional Highway Patrol Unit-3 is now verifying the said vehicle while appropriate cases were filed against the suspects. (Ric Sapnu)
